Map Maker Terms & Conditions

These terms cover your use of Map Maker (“the app”), a Canva app for searching a location, styling a map, and adding it to a Canva design. By using the app, you agree to these terms.

The app itself

Map Maker runs inside Canva and is also subject to Canva’s Terms of Use. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app for creating maps for your own Canva designs. Don’t reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app.

Free tier and paid upgrade

Map Maker is free for a limited number of maps. A one-time payment of $12.99 USD unlocks unlimited maps for your account permanently. The unlock is tied to your Canva account, not a device or installation.

Payment processing and refunds

Payments are processed entirely by Polar, acting as merchant of record. Polar handles payment details, receipts, and applicable sales tax/VAT; we never see or store your card details. If Map Maker isn’t working as expected, contact us and we’ll make it right, including a refund where appropriate.

Third-party services

The app relies on Canva, Mapbox for map tiles and location search, and Polar for payment. We’re not responsible for outages or issues originating from these services.

No warranty and liability

Map Maker is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for a claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it, up to $12.99. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
